A couple of weeks ago we hosted the third annual Olympus Audio SA Sales Conference at the beautiful Theewaterskloof Country Estate. It was the first time we have headed out of Cape Town for the annual event, something that turned out to be a great success. This year we were extremely fortunate to be joined by Chris Baugh and Badr Alaoui-Sossai from Olympus Europe. Their input from a product and development point of view was invaluable to our team and certainly added that little bit “extra” over the previous couple of years.
Our sales teams from our Johannesburg and Durban offices flew down early on Thursday the 14th, after a brief meet and greet at our CT headoffice we hit the road out to Theewaterskloof. Thursday afternoon and the whole day Friday accounted for the “work” related portion of the conference, once again the input from Badr and Chris in these sessions were invaluable to the team and we were all extremely appreciative of time they took out of their busy schedules to join us for those few days.
So with the work side of things done and dusted it was time for some much needed R&R, this began in ernest on the Friday night with a lovely South African “braai” for the gentleman from Germany (unfortunately Badr had to leave us early on Friday evening so he missed out this time around). After the celebrations and festivities from Friday night Saturday was spend mostly on the water, enjoying what turned out to be a truely classic “day in africa”, we could not have asked for better weather all day.
After another fantastic evening around the braai on Saturday our Johannesburg and Durban teams had to pack up early on Sunday morning to catch their respective flights home. The rest of the Cape Town crew packed up and was back in C.T just after lunch. That closed the chapter on another extremely successful Olympus Audio SA Sales Conference. A massive thanks must once again go out to all of you that attended and a bigger thanks to our MD Paul Burton for organizing the entire event. I think I speak for everyone that attended in saying that this year was certainly the best yet!!! Here’s to a successful year ahead and we will see you all in 2014!!
